If you have had the pleasure of owning a Wii Fit then you can appreciate my segment tonight. In order to lose weight it is not only necessary by vital to do some kind of exercise. Since Ted worked until 6:30 this evening and left at 8:20 for his Monday night softball game, I thought it would be a good idea to have a Wii night after the kids went to bed. Excited that I was actually going to use the darn thing, I stepped on thinking I would have lost weight since the last time I had used it which apparently was 128 days ago. Yikes! Not only had it been four months since I graced my presence in the little Wii Plaza but I had gain 10 lbs. Double Whammy! A little hesitant I proceeded with my body analysis. I don't know what's worse, working out to a computer animated version of yourself or watching the screen as it blows your little Mii up until it looks like its going to burst. My fat Mii then proceeded to turn around trying to look at its plump rump. How pathetic! Even my computer Mii has issues!
Today didn't go exactly as I planned. I had a whopping 360 calories for breakfast, and a lean cuisine about 320 calories with a sugar free pudding about 60 calories. For an afternoon snack I had a 100 calorie pack of cocoa roasted almonds which are a delicious treat. Ted worked late as I said before but trying to be the loving wife that I am (it occasionally happens), I tried to wait until he got home before serving dinner. As time went on and Chris and AJ were asking for supper but me, I was good. Those 8 almonds I had really tied me over for those 6 hours between lunch and supper. I finally threw in some chicken taquitos we had along with some mini chicken tacos. I know Mexican food isn't the healthiest thing any of us could be eating but without knowing Ted's arrival and departure schedule, it was the best I could do. Fortunately enough, Chris tried his hand at making homemade salsa with his grandma the day before. I'm a bit of a ninny when it comes to hot things but as a mom sometimes you have to suck it up and try something, no matter how much it hurts. The good news is that any extra calories I ate tonight was easily burned away by the salsa I ate.
After chasing AJ around and getting her to bed and then Chris to bed it was off to change out some loads of laundry and jump on the Wii. Well you know how that turned out. 28 minutes of torture. Gotta love it!
I must tell you all this. As I was sitting here writing my blog my husband came home and we had a few laughs. Suddenly hit by a strong and nasty smell I told him that he needed to take a shower. I looked down because the smell was so strong and apparently at some point this evening our newest dog decided to poop right under my computer chair and I had been rolling my chair through it for the past 5 minutes. Something always happens!
Way to go Mii,
KJ
